In practice for about three decades, Dr. Michael Civin, Ph.D. Made sure he had a great education before he even started out in practice. He started by earning an A.B. degree with cum laude honors from Harvard in 1968 and followed that with his attendance at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1968 and 1969. A few years later, in 1970, he was awarded his first Masters of Arts degree from the University of Oregon. However, Michael A. Civin wasn’t satisfied with one; he earned another Masters of Arts degree, in Clinical Psychology, from Adelphi University‘s Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies.

That was in 1986, but he officially became Michael A. Civin, Ph.D. in 1988 when he earned his doctorate, also from Adelphi. Adelphi also awarded him a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy back in 1993. Dr. Michael Civin, Ph.D has always spent a lot of time in the academic world and he still does. He has been a full professor, associate professor and a faculty member in many institutions of higher learning over the years and he has published many scholarly articles in medical journals and chapters in very important books on psychology.
